My client first reached out to me with the idea for a sort of nontraditional pregnancy session. In her self reflection as she approached her final weeks of pregnancy, she wanted to capture the beauty of just being pregnant. For her the path to motherhood was something to be celebrated and cherished. This photoshoot was a chance to celebrate her soon-to-be born son, her transformation within her own body, and her journey with her husband.
Initially we had the idea that we would highlight her form in a number of ways. We were eventually able to grow through each others ideas and explore many of her traits on her journey to motherhood. From the nurturing to the glamour and finally to the growing bond with her husband, we were able to capture the many facets of becoming a mother.
We all had a lot of fun with this session and I am thrilled to have been invited to document a small portion of their journey into parenthood.
